On the sunny side of Kilauea volcano summit, at the Volcano Golf and Country Club, our cottage retreat awaits you. This modern, comfortable plantation style home features a wrap-around lanai, offering you a full range of outdoor living and dining opportunities amidst the peaceful sights and sounds of nature. Volcano Cottage is a new, 2 bedroom, 2 bath home with full kitchen, wireless internet coverage allows you to work in the garden or in front of the gas fireplace. Our tropical furnishings comfort you in a secluded, rainforest setting. You will sleep blissfully on our luxurious pillow-top mattresses. Our back yard extends into a 30 acre park. All this is 10 minutes from the rainforest, with trails inviting exploration of the rare and endangered plants and birds. The cottage is just 5 minutes from the entrance to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and the Volcano Winery. The park encompasses more than 333,000 acres and ranges from sea level to the summit of the earth’s most massive volcano, Mauna Loa at 13,677 feet. Kilauea, is the world’s most active volcano. According to the National Park Service website, this park displays the results of 70 million years of volcanism, migration, and evolution processes that thrust a bare land from the sea and clothed it with complex and unique ecosystems, and a distinct human culture.
